Earlier this week Google quietly launched the HTC-built Nexus 9 via a blogpost. Today, the table has been listed on Google’s India Play Store with a price tag of Rs 28,900 for the 16GB Wi-Fi only variant.

The Wi-Fi + LTE 32GB variant, on the other hand, is priced at Rs 44,900. There is currently no word on the pricing of the 32GB Wi-Fi variant. As for availability, the tablet it is currently listed as coming soon. Pre-booking for the Nexus 9 has begun in many countries, before it is available on November 3. In comparison, prices for the recently launched iPad Air 2 starts at Rs 35,900 for the 16GB Wi-Fi variant and Rs 45,900 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular 16GB variant.

As far as specifications are concerned, the Nexus 9 flaunts an 8.9-inch 2048×1536-pixels display with a 4:3 aspect ratio. It is powered by 2.3GHz Nvidia Tegra K1 dual-core processor paired with Kepler DX11 GPU. The tablet also features an 8-megapixel protruding rear camera, and a 1.6-megapixel selfie camera at the front. On the software front, the tablet runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.

In addition to the tablet, Google has also listed the official Nexus 9 cover on the the India Play Store. The cover is priced at Rs 2,900, and will be available in multiple colors including Mint Indigo, Lime Stone and Black.
