LG G4 with f/1.8 camera teased in new video, unveil on April 28
After sending out media invites, LG has uploaded a new video teasing the LG G4 unveil on April 28. In the video uploaded on YouTube, the company also boasts that the camera will sport a f/1.8 aperture.
The f/1.8 aperture will enhance LG G4′s low light imaging capabilities. The video shows how images in the dark ‘light up’ under the smartphone’s lens. The video reiterates the tagline ‘See the Great, Feel the Great’, and ends the video with LG G4 imprinted on leather. As rumored, the LG G4 is expected to boast premium materials. On April 28, LG is hosting simultaneous launch events across New York, London, Paris, Seoul, Singapore, and Istanbul.
The forthcoming flagship has surfaced online more than once, and renders show a curved body a la the G Flex 2. As for specifications, a listing on GFXBench reveals what the LG G4 will boast. It is expected to flaunt a 5.5-inch QHD display, and will be powered by a Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor paired with Adreno 418 GPU and 3GB of RAM.
The flagship smartphone is also expected to feature 32GB internal storage, 16-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel front-facing camera, and on the software front, run on Android Lollipop 5.1.
LG also unveiled UX 4.0 interface that will be a part of the LG G4. Thenew UI is pegged to be more ‘human centric’ and comes with features like Smart Alert, Smart Board, and camera-centric apps like Quick Shot and Expert Camera mode among others.
While the LG G4 will be the showstopper, the South Korean company is also expected to launch a phablet variant of the flagship. The LG G4 Note was recently spotted online, and it seems to have taken inspiration from Samsung’s Galaxy Note series.
