Indian Railway brings NTES app on the Android platform
The Indian Railway has rolled out the National Train Enquiry System or NTES app for the Android OS with an aim of providing passengers with more detailed information regarding their trains. Available as a free download through the Google Play store, this utility comes with a number of useful features to help you with your train journeys.
‘Spot Your Train’ is the prime attribute this app boasts of, thanks to its ability to give you time details of any train. It provides you with ‘Scheduled Time’ and ‘Actual Time’ of arrival as well as departure, whereas it even gives you a heads-up if there’s a delay. Moreover, this section also grants you a live update on where your train is at any given moment.
The NTES app from the Indian Railway contains another cool feature called ‘Live Station.’ It lets you enter which station you’re currently at and the one you wish to reach, and then shows you a list of all the trains leaving for your destination within the next 2 hours or 4 hours.
And then there’s the ‘Train Schedule’ trait which gives you detailed station-by-station information about any particular train. This includes a list of stations it will be halting at as well as the arrival and departure times at each of these stations. Moreover, the distance in kilometres to each station can also be found in this section.
The app can even be used to find all the trains that run between two particular stations, while its other features include ‘Cancelled Trains,’ ‘Rescheduled Trains’ and ‘Diverted Trains.’ You can download the NTES app for Android through this link, and do note that there’s a Windows Phone version available as well.
