Perhaps Apple wanted to crash Google’s Nexus party, or maybe someone just hit the buttons a little too early, regardless, we are now getting the first look at the new iPads that the Cupertino giant is expected to unveil at its event today. An official user guide for iOS 8 in the iTunes Store includes images of the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3.

Not only does the screenshot reveals the official name of the next generation iPads, it also lists the new features they are going to have. Both the iPads will come with Touch ID sensor, which were first introduced last year on the iPhone 5S. The leak also confirms that the new iPads don’t posses major changes to the design. Additionally, the new iPads will have the burst shooting mode with the rear camera, which could also hint an update to the iSight camera might be in the offing.

It still isn’t clear whether Apple is changing anything with the display and whether it will feature a new A8X chipset or the A8 chipset we have seen on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. All that and more will be revealed tomorrow. Apple will live stream the event, which starts at 10:30PM IST
