How I turned my Android tablet into a portable monitor for cheap

Connecting an Android tablet to my laptop helps me optimize my space and saves me from carrying an external monitor. It works just as well and includes an internal battery for a longer runtime and touch functionality for easier navigation. Another advantage is that I can always ditch my Windows laptop and use my tablet as a standalone device if I feel like it.
