Something I’ve learned in my time as a tech journalist is that Wi-Fi can be even more fickle than you might think. I discovered the hard way, for example, that you simply can’t run a smart home off of Wi-Fi 5, since its connection limits are so shallow that accessories will repeatedly get bumped offline.
