JioPhone Next specifications, features revealed via Google Play Console: Check details here

JioPhone Next was announced in June during the 44th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Reliance Jio. The company had said that the smartphone would be made available in the market on September 10. But there is a delay in the launching, and hence rumors and claims suggest that the upcoming smartphone could witness the Diwali launch.  The smartphone is spotted on the Google Play Console listing ahead of the launch, revealing key features and specifications.

Specifications

According to the Google Play listing, the company will offer an HD display with 720×1440 pixel resolution and will have a screen density of 320. The 2 GB RAM variant of the device can offer 16 GB storage, while the 3 GB RAM model can come with 32 GB storage. As far as the processor is concerned, the JioPhone Next will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 215 SoC with Cortex-A53 cores paired with an Adreno 306 GPU. This device will work on Android 11 (Go Edition) out of the box.

Unfortunately, the listing does not reveal anything about the battery capacity, but previous reports have claimed that the phone can pack a 2,500mAh battery. Additionally, there will be Google Assistant support, and Google Play Protect with on-screen translation and automatic read-aloud, special filers for the cameras.

As per the listing, JioPhone Next sports a 5.5-inch display, an 8-megapixel selfie camera, and a 13-megapixel rear snapper. Google has partnered with Snap to integrate India-specific Snapchat lenses into the phone’s camera. “I am pleased to announce that Google and Jio teams have jointly developed a truly breakthrough smartphone that we are calling, JioPhone Next…that has been jointly developed by Jio and Google…especially for the Indian market,” said Ambani in 44th Annual General Meeting.

According to leaked reports, the price of JioPhone Next is likely to fall between Rs 5,000 and Rs 7,000. This upcoming phone can be launched with many color options. The smartphone can come with 4G VoLTE support and dual-SIM support. DuoGo and Google Camera Go will be available pre-installed on the phone. As of now, no information has been given by the company about the price or specification.
