After a little wait, Monster Hunter Stories is now available as an Apple Arcade game, making it free for all Apple Arcade subscribers.
Monster Hunter Stories was already available as a $20 purchase, but its move to Apple Arcade means that more people than ever can now enjoy a game that has proven popular among fans of the series.
Being an Apple Arcade game, Monster Hunter Stories is also ad-free and won’t feature any in-app purchases, either. Gamers can play as long as they want — and they’ll probably want to play a lot! Those with Apple Arcade as part of Apple One will also be able to take the game in for free, too.
A highly-rated RPG where players enter a world filled with large monsters that roam the land, and people everywhere make a living hunting them. But there’s a remote village that follow a different set of customs called the Monster Riders, who don’t hunt but instead form bonds with monsters. The monsters that form kinships with Riders, known as “Monsties,” possess incredible powers. By becoming a Rider, players can befriend countless Monsties and embark on new adventures, riding the Monsties as they explore a vast, exciting world to uncover monster dens, and bring back the eggs they find to hatch new Monsties.
Monster Hunter Stories+, as the Apple Arcade version of the game is known, is available for download in the App Store right now. The game can be played on iPhone and iPad.
