Pixelmator Pro has a new update in the App Store and it’s one that you won’t want to miss out on. A free download for existing users, the Pixelmator Pro 2.1 update adds support for a new crop tool powered by machine learning, Quick Fill, and more.

The crop tool as a whole has been reworked to make use of machine learning, making it easier to crop photos so they look just the way you want them to, 7 new photographic overlays are also part of the refresh.

The Crop tool has been redesigned and now features an ML Crop button that provides suggestions for how you could crop your >- photos to make them more eye-catching.
The Crop tool will now be much faster with large documents that contain many layers.
New perspective correction sliders will let you adjust the perspective of images right in the Crop tool.
The Crop tool now features 7 photographic overlays, such as Rule of Thirds, Golden Ratio, and Golden Spiral.

Pixelmator Pro also gains a new Quick Fill feature that allows users to fill images, shapes, and text layers with a color “using the magic of drag and drop.” Just drag from any color well and drop it onto an image to have the fill take place
