Apple announces VR and AR headset the Vision Pro – everything we know

After years of rumors and speculation, it’s finally official: Apple is making a headset with AR and VR capabilities.

The announcement has been made at WWDC 2023, Apple’s annual developer’s conference where it shows off new software and typically reveals a handful of hardware pieces.

Apple likely hopes that the Apple VR headset,  will give its rivals in the XR space a run for their money. Meta is chief among Apple’s competitors, and recently unveiled the Meta Quest 3 – though this more affordable offering is expected to target a different audience than Apple’s high-end headset.
