Niantic has announced in a blog post that Pokémon GO Fest will be happening over July 17 and July 18, 2021 in Pokémon GO. Global Challenges will make a return, which will incentivize players to coordinate with their friends to catch Pokémon of specific types, participate in raids, and complete friend-specific tasks like opening gifts in order to receive rewards and special encounters.
There has been no mention of whether or not this summer’s GO Fest will be an online ticket event similarly to Pokémon GO Fest 2020, which allowed players everywhere in the world to purchase a ticket from the in-game store and participate in challenges that rewarded them with an encounter with the mythical Pokémon, Victini.
