Acer One Windows 8.1-powered 2-in-1 now available at retail stores across India, prices start at Rs 19,999
Earlier this year, Acer launched the hybrid One and it was on sale exclusively via Amazon India. Today the company is expanding the 2-in-1’s reach by opening it up to retail stores across the country. It is priced at Rs 19,999 for the 1GB variant, and Rs 21,999 for the 2GB variant.The Acer One features a 10-inch HD multi-touch display, and is powered by an Intel Atom quad-core processor clocked at 1.33GHz paired with either 1GB or 2GB RAM. Also included is 32GB internal storage, which can be expanded using a microSD card. The keyboard dock also comes built-in with a 500GB hard disk. Additionally, there is also 1TB of storage, with a free one-year subscription to OneDrive.
The hybrid tablet comes with a 2-megapixel rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, dual-speakers, 6,000mAh battery, and connectivity options like 3G (via dongle), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, 2 USB 2.0 Ports, and one HDMI port. On the software front, it runs on Windows 8.1.
Formfactor wise the Acer One is identical to Lenovo’s Yoga Tablet 10, which is priced slightly higher at Rs 23,275. The Acer One too has different modes of usage, including Pad mode, Notebook mode, Display mode, and Tent mode.
As the name suggests, the pad mode is for using it as a tablet, the notebook mode is when you use it with the keyboard attached, display mode is useful during video conferencing, presentations, or while shuffling through photos, and lastly the tent mode lets you use the One in narrow spaces like the kitchen or book shelve
