MacBook Air dropped from a plane, here’s what happened next
We have come across many drop tests in the past, but this seems to have taken things to an all-new level. An Apple MacBook Air fell off a plane from an altitude of 1,000 feet and came crashing down, but amazingly survived the entire experience.
Pilot and Reddit user av80r recounted the entire experience and also posted photos of his MacBook Air. Av80r was flying a Sports Cruiser at 200 km/h (124 mph) at an altitude of 1,000 feet when the plane’s canopy propped open and his laptop along with his flying license and logbook fell out.
Amazingly, the laptop found by a farmer only has a bend in the unibody casing, a busted trackpad and cooling system. According to av80r, the screen has remained intact, and the MacBook Air still continues to work. He has posted some photos that follow.
