Samsung Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 launched in India for Rs 20,500 and Rs 25,500 respectively
As expected, Samsung today launched the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 smartphones in India at an event in Mumbai. Both the handsets come with a full-metal design and are noticeably thinner than most of Samsung’s smartphones. The Galaxy A3 is priced at Rs 20,500, whereas the Galaxy A5 costs Rs 25,500.
Announced late last year, the Galaxy A3 sports mid-range specification, whereas the Galaxy A5 packs relatively higher-end hardware. The handsets pack in 5-megapixel selfie cameras with 120 degree wide range angle and support for palm and voice gestures. The handsets also borrow some features of the flagship phablet Note 4 including the Wide Selfie, Palm Selfie, Rear Cam Selfie, and Beauty Face features in the stock camera app. There is a gif mode shooting option as well.
As far as specifications are concerned, the Galaxy A3 sports a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED qHD (540×960 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor paired with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage that can be further expanded up to 64GB using a microSD card. The smartphone also features an 8-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 1,900mAh battery.
The Galaxy A5, on the other hand, features a 5-inch Super AMOLED HD (1280×720 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone also features a 13-megapixel rear shooter, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 16GB internal memory, microSD card, and a 2,300mAh battery.
The phones come in several color options, including pearl white, midnight black, platinum silver, light blue, soft pink, and champagne gold.
