Microsoft expands Office for Android tablets preview, makes it publicly available on Google Play Store

Microsoft has announced that it is expanding the Office for Android tablet preview. The company is removing the need of possessing an access code in order to use the productivity suite, allowing anyone to download Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preview apps directly from the Google Play Store.Late last year, the company had announced that it will require interested users to have an access code by requesting and collecting them from its Google Plus community page. While anyone can now grab the said apps from the Play Store for free, the company still requires you to have an ARM-based Android tablet running on KitKat or Lollipop with display ranging between 7-inches and 10-inches.

Microsoft Office for Android tablets has a similar user interface as its iPad counterpart. The final version, which will be releasing sometime this year, will be completely free to use, and will have Dropbox integration.
