Lava Iris X1 Mini, Iris X1 Grand budget Android KitKat smartphones launched, priced at Rs 4,348 and Rs 7,326: Specifications and features
Today Lava has launched two budget phones, Lava Iris X1 Grand and Iris X1 Mini. These devices are powered by MediaTek processors and cater to the budget Android segment. Both the devices are fitted with a 5-inch display and Lava guarantees Android Lollipop update. Lava Iris X1 Grand is priced at Rs 7,326 and the Lava Iris X1 Mini is priced at Rs 4,348. Both the devices will be made available across various sales channels from first week of February.
Lava Iris X1 Grand
As far as specifications are concerned, the Iris X1 Grand comes with a 5-inch (854×480 pixels) IPS display, and runs on Android KitKat 4.4 out of the box and will support the Android Lollipop update soon. The X1 Grand is powered by a 1.3GHz MTK6582 quad-core processor mated to 1GB of RAM. It also features an 8-megapixel primary camera with autofocus and a 2-megapixel secondary camera.
The X1 Grand comes with dual speakers which help in enhancing the audio experience for the users. Onboard memory stands at 8GB and you also get an expandable memory slot that supports up to 32GB of storage. The Iris X1 Grand features the usual bevy of connectivity options including Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi and 3G.
Lava Iris X1 Mini
The Lava Iris X1 Mini, on the other hand, features a smaller 4-inch display and is powered by a MediaTek quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz. The primary camera is a 5-megapixel sensor and the secondary camera takes shape in the form of a VGA sensor. The Iris Mini X1 is equipped with a 512MB RAM and an onboard storage of 4GB. The Iris X1 Mini draws its power from a 1,750mAh battery that is expected to last an entire day with normal usage.
Lava Iris X1 Mini will be available in three color schemes, ink black, white-silver and White Gold. Lava Iris X1 will be the best bet if you are looking out for a sub-Rs 5,000 Android device which can run majority of frequently used games and applications.
