Sony Xperia E4 live photos and specifications leaked ahead of potential unveiling at MWC 2015
Sony is reportedly close to launching the successor to the Xperia E3 that launched at IFA earlier this year. The smartphone is called the Xperia E4, and the company is believed to be unveiling it at Mobile World Congress (MWC) next year. The folks at Xperia Blog have now posted the first live photos as well as the specifications of the device.
According to the publication, the Xperia E4 is known by model number E2105 for the single-SIM variant and E2115 for the dual-SIM variant. As for specifications, the Xperia E4 is rumored to sport a 5-inch qHD (960×540 pixels), and will be powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6582 quad-core processor paired with Mali-400 GPU. On the software front, it will run on Android 4.4.4 KitKat, which will be upgradable to Android 5.0 Lollipop.
As seen in the leaked photos, the Xperia E4 looks quite similar to the Xperia E3, but with much slimmer bezels. One of the screenshots also shows that the Antutu score of the forthcoming device is 17,857, slotted just below the likes of Google Nexus 4, Lenovo K900, and the Xiaomi Mi 2 among others.
In comparison, the Xperia E3 features a 4.5-inch (480×854 pixels) IPS display, and is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor paired with 1GB RAM. The smartphone also features 4GB internal storage, microSD card support, 5-megapixel rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, and packs a 2,330mAh battery.
As mentioned above, the Xperia E4 is likely to be unveiled at MWC next year, and will be priced somewhere close to $200 (Rs 12,500 approximately).
