As expected, Microsoft has today launched the Lumia 535 in India. The first ever non-Nokia Lumia smartphone is priced at Rs 9,199 and will be available from November 28 onwards.
Microsoft launched the Lumia 535 earlier this month. Apart from its affordability, one of the talking points on this smartphone is the 5-megapixel wide-angle selfie camera at the front. There is also a 5-megapixel camera at the back, which is accompanied by a flash. As for the phone’s specifications, the Lumia 535 sports a 5-inch qHD (960×540 pixels) display with 220ppi pixel density, and is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM.
The smartphone also features 8GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card, 15GB free OneDrive storage, and a 1,905mAh battery which the company claims is good enough for 11 hours of talktime and up to 23 days on standby mode. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, and on the software front, it runs on Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim update.
