Apple iPad Air 2, iPad mini 3 launching in India on November 29

Last week, BGR India exclusively reported that Apple will be launching the new iPad Air 2 and the iPad mini 3 in India towards the end of the month. In line with our report, Apple is planning on launching the iPad Air 2 and the iPad mini 3 in India on November 29.

Over the weekend, the iPad Air 2 and the iPad mini 3 were up for preorder on Indian e-commerce sites like Flipkart and Infibeam. Prices for the iPad Air 2 starts at Rs 35,900, while prices for the iPad mini 3 start at Rs 28,900.

The iPad Air 2 features a 9.7-inch (2048×1536 pixels) display at a pixel density of 264ppi and anti-reflective coating. It is powered by an A8X processor paired with 2GB of RAM, and includes an 8-megapixel iSight camera, 1.2-megapixel FaceTime camera, connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11ac and support for up to up to 20 LTE bands, and TouchID sensor.

As for pricing, the iPad Air 2 is priced at Rs 35,900 for the 16GB Wi-Fi model, Rs 42,900 for the 64GB Wi-Fi model, and Rs 49,900 for the 128GB Wi-Fi model. The Wi-Fi + Cellular models, on the other hand, are priced at Rs 45,900 for the 16GB, Rs 52,900 for the 64GB variant, and Rs 59,900 for the 128GB variant.

The iPad mini 3, on the other hand, features a 7.9-inch (2048×1536 pixels) display, and is powered by a 64-bit A7 dual-core processor paired with M7 coprocessor and 1GB of RAM. It also includes a 5-megapixel rear camera, 1.2-megapixel front camera, a battery that is good enough to last 10 hours, and a TouchID sensor.

The iPad mini 3 is priced at Rs 28,900 for the 16GB Wi-Fi variant, Rs 35,900 for the 64GB variant and Rs 42,900 for the 128GB variant. The Wi-Fi + Cellular models are priced at Rs 38,900 for the 16GB variant, 45,900 for the 64GB variant, and Rs 52,900 for the 128GB variant.
