Samsung Reveals Samsung Galaxy Tab Active Business Phablet
Most of the time people think of a tablet as a secondary device or an intermediate device between mobile phone and computer. It is good for reading the news, watching a movie, or doing emails. Buut Samsung seems to really want more middle ground; more than just an A-B-C world. Hence the new Galaxy Tab Active.
This is basically the same tablet as the 7-inch Galaxy Tab, but in a more rugged, water-resistant (up to 1.0 meters) form aimed at business customers with a more active professional and personal life.
It is not just a more durable version of the Galaxy Tab 3.0. No, this is more than just a streamlined tablet. Yes, it is thin and yes it is compact—for its size; and no, it is not seven inches; it is EIGHT inches. But it is an LTE-ready “phablet” that can not only handle everything your tablet can already do but it can also make phone calls as well as survive drops up to 1.2 meters thanks to the protective case it comes with.
The new Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is definitely much more durable than anything large devices Apple has to offer. And its buttons are larger for those times when you are not able to use the touch screen.
Hey, you have your reasons.
Other specs include 1200 x 800 reflective screen as well as a 3.1 mp rear camera and standard 1.2 mp front camera. Neither are all that fabulous; and neither is the “C-pen”—the included stylus—which is basically just a fatter version of the Samsung Galaxy Note’s S-Pen.
Since the phablet is designed for business users, the device also comes with Samsung KNOX, the company’s build in security system that helps to separate job related data and apps from personal ones.
