Our favorite Batman, Christian Bale is all set to play another iconic role. According to a report on Variety, Bale is in talks to play Steve Jobs in a new biopic about the Apple co-founder.

The movie will be based on Walter Isaacson’s biography “Steve Jobs,”, and will be directed by Danny Boyle and Aaron Sorkin, the report adds. The film is said to be divided into three long scenes, each of which will be set on the eve of a product launch. Sorkin, who you may know from The Social Network and The West Wing has revealed that the first product will be the Mac, followed by NeXT, and then the iPod. Excited Sorkin says writing a film about Jobs “is a little like writing about the Beatles. There are so many people out there that know him and revere him.”

According to the report, the role was first offered to Leonardo DiCaprio, however, DiCaprio backed out in order to take a break from acting. Bale had been Fincher’s first choice to play Jobs. The shooting for the movie will begin in spring 2015. Sony had acquired the rights for the movie right after the death of Jobs. This will be second feature film made on Steve Jobs. Last year, Ashton Kutcher starred in Jobs. The movie had received mixed ratings from the critics.
