Poco X5 Pro 5G with Snapdragon 778G launched in India: Check price, specs, availability
Poco today launched the Poco X5 Pro 5G smartphone in India. The Poco X5 Pro is the successor to last year’s Poco X4 Pro that starts at Rs 18,999 in India. The newly launched smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G system-on-chip (SoC) and it competes with the likes of the Realme Pro Plus 5G, iQoo Z6 Pro, and Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge 5G among others in India.

Coming to the pricing, the Poco X5 Pro 5G comes in two variants in India — the 6GB + 128GB variant that costs Rs 22,999 in India and the 8GB + 256GB variant that costs Rs 24,999 in the country. It will be available via Flipkart starting from February 6, 2023, as a part of the Special Early Access Sale. The phone will up be available on its first sale in Astral Black, Horizon Blue, and Poco Yellow colour variants starting 12PM on February 13.
The company has also announced a bunch of launch offers for the interested buyers. Poco is offering an instant discount of Rs 2,000 on payments made via ICICI Bank credit and debit card. Alternatively, interested buyers can also get Rs 2,000 off on exchanging their old devices for a new Poco X5 Pro smartphone. This will bring down the effective price of the 6GB variant of the device to Rs 20,999 and the 8GB variant to Rs 22,999.

Coming to the specifications, the Poco X5 Pro 5G comes with a 6.67-inch Xfinity display with a 120Hz screen refresh rate, 10-bit display, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It also comes with 1920Hz PWM dimming technology and support for HDR 10+ certification and Dolby Vision. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC and Adreno 642L GPU. The phone offers up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage and up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. The Poco X5 Pro 5G runs on MIUI 12 that is based on Android 12 out-of-the-box. On the audio front, the phone has dual stereo speakers with support for Dolby Atmos, hi-res audio and hi-res audio wireless.
Coming to the camera, the Poco X5 Pro sports a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 108MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens with 120 field-of-view and 2MP macro sensor. Poco says that the X5 Pro 5G supports 4K recording at 30fps along with a bunch of video modes such as short video, slow motion, Vlog mode. On the front, the phone has a 16MP selfie camera.
Lastly, the Poco X5 Pro has a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging technology, which the company says charges the smartphone completely in 45 minutes.
