MHS2 You get a Razewing Ratha amiibo if you order the Collector’s Edition
Best answer: The standard version just comes with the game, but the Deluxe Edition includes Layered Armor, sticker sets, a special player hairstyle, and outfits for Navirou. The Collectors Edition has a Razewing Ratha amiibo in addition to everything from the Deluxe Edition. Anyone going for the Deluxe or Collector’s Edition will also want to check out the three Monster Hunter Stories 2 amiibo releasing alongside the game. All three Editions release on July 9.
What is Monster Hunter Stories 2?
Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin differs from core Monster Hunter games in that it focuses more on hatching eggs and raising monsters to fight alongside you rather than simply going out and defeating them. It also has more of a plot centered around a special Rathalos, which you will raise and rear.
The game releases on July 9, 2021, and players can preorder a standard version, a Deluxe Edition, or a Collectors Edition. But what are the differences between them? While the standard version is just the game, the Deluxe Edition and the Collector’s Edition come with some awesome extras.
Monster Hunter Stories 2 preorders are now open for the standard edition and sell for $60.
Monster Hunter Stories 2: Deluxe Edition
The Deluxe Edition costs $70 but is not currently available for preorder. We’ll update when that changes. Since this is a Deluxe version of the game, it includes a bunch of extras. Here’s what comes with the Deluxe Edition.
- Base game
- Kuan Coat outfit for Ena
- Wings of Ruin Enamel Pin
- Razewing Layered Armor Alpha/Beta
- Navirou Outfits: Pukei-Pukei and Nergigante Costume
- Adventure Buddies 2 & 3 Sticker Sets
Monster Hunter Stories 2: Collectors Edition
If the Deluxe version isn’t enough, fans of the series can spring for the version with the most perks. The Collector’s Edition sells for $100 and comes with both in-game and tangible goodies:
- Base game
- Razewing Ratha amiibo
- Wings of Ruin Enamel Pin
- Kuan Coat outfit for Ena
- Razewing Layered Armor Alpha/Beta
- Navirou Outfits: Pukei-Pukei and Nergigante Costume
- Adventure Buddies 2 & 3 Sticker Sets
North American buyers may only be able to purchase the Collector’s Edition at GameStop.
Monster Hunter Stories 2 amiibo
Three new amiibo will be launching alongside Monster Hunter Stories 2. If rumors are correct, these amiibo will only be available at GameStop in North America.
- Ena
- Razewing Ratha
- Tsukino
Avid collectors should note that there are also six amiibo from the original Monster Hunter Stories 3DS game. However, they’ve become some of the rarest and most expensive amiibo out there, so if you want them, you’ll need to spend a lot of money to get one.
- One-Eyed Rathalos and Rider (Boy)
- Navirou
- One-Eyed Rathalos and Rider (Girl)
- Rathian and Cheval
- Barioth (Glacier) and Ayuria
- Dan’s Qurupeco
We can’t wait for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin to release on Nintendo Switch. There’s plenty of fun goodies for fans to collect, and I personally can’t wait to get ahold of the Razewing Ratha amiibo.
