If clicky clacky keys are your thing you need a good mechanical keyboard. The Keychron K6 is one of the best and this example features hot-swappable switches for additional customization options. Put your own keycaps on and you’re into a world of possibilities while saving 20% — that’s a win!
It’s a board that’s easy to adore thanks to its wireless and USB-C connectivity, not to mention a 65%, 68-key design that’s easy to get used to and comfortable to type on. It’s laid out just the way it ought to be, without all of those keys that nobody uses anymore. If you’re looking for dedicated function keys and a number pad, you’re in the wrong place.
While the keyboard comes prebuilt, that doesn’t mean that you can’t then go ham on it. This model, like the one I have, is hot-swappable, which means you can rip the included Gateron G Pro Brown switches out and put something else in. You can put your own keycaps on as well, and, if you’re feeling fruity, your own custom cable. Or you can just pay the $84 asking price and use the K6 as-is and be more than happy. It’s a great keyboard either way.
That’s thanks in part to the ability to connect to three Bluetooth devices and switch between them on the fly, not to mention 72 hours of constant battery usage before it needs charging. And that’s with the RGB lights turned on. Oh, and there are tons of different modes for those lights as well.
Normally this Keychron K6 would sell for around $105 and now you can save 20% and get it for just $84. For what is undoubtedly my favorite keyboard, that’s a bit of a Prime Day steal to be sure.
