iPhone 13 leaked images allegedly show smaller notch (again)
It’s the second time we’ve seen images like this…
What you need to know
- More images allegedly showing the glass front of the iPhone 13 have leaked.
- They seem to again point to a smaller notch coming in this year’s iPhone.
More images allegedly showing the iPhone 13‘s glass front have again hinted at a smaller coming notch.
Images shared by DuanRui on Twitter appear to show film samples for the iPhone 13 including a trimmed down notch compared to the iPhone 12.

Similar images shared back in March also hinted at this change. It is impossible to confirm whether these images are 100% legitimate, but they look very similar to that previous leak, from that report:
New leaked images reportedly depicting the glass of the iPhone 13 seem to confirm previous reports that Apple will shrink the notch currently featured in the iPhone 12.
From MacRumors:
iPhone 13 models are widely expected to feature a smaller notch, and we are able to share a first look at the potential design. Greek repair provider iRepair has provided MacRumors with an alleged photo of front glass panels for iPhone 13 models, with the same three 5.4-inch, 6.1-inch, and 6.7-inch display sizes as the iPhone 12 lineup. The notch on each iPhone is visibly smaller as a result of the earpiece speaker being moved up into the top bezel, a design choice that was first rumored for iPhone 12 models last year but failed to materialize.
Multiple sources including IceUniverse and Jon Prosser, as well as supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and Digitimes, have all said that Apple will slim down the notch on the iPhone this year.
The iPhone 13, expected to debut in September, might actually be a more subtle ‘S’ update rather than a major redesign. News earlier today suggests Apple has huge upgrade plans for the iPhone 14 in 2022, including the introduction of a 48MP camera that can shoot 8K video.
