The MagSafe Charger works with magnets to charge the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, plus the AirPods Pro, AirPods with Wireless Charging Case, and AirPods Wireless Charging Case. You don’t need one of these devices to use the MagSafe Charger, however. Because the MagSafe Charger also supports Qi charging, you can use it to power the iPhone SE (2nd generation), iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone X, iPhone 8, and iPhone 8 Plus.
First introduced in late 2020 alongside the iPhone 12 series, Apple’s MagSafe Charger ships with the charger and a 1m USB-C integrated cable. However, for optimal charging, you should pair it with a 20W USB-C power adapter that’s sold separately.
