Amazon Diwali Dhamaka sale: Buyers take to Twitter as sale turns out to be a damp squib

Amazon India’s Diwali Dhamaka sale kicked off earlier today. While a lot was expected after Flipkart’s Big Billion Day farce, turns out Amazon India is no different.

Since the sale kicked off this morning, buyers are complaining about the site crashing and coming across blank pages. While this is expected at rush hours, the lack of deals is what has frustrated buyers. Take the Philips shaver for example, which Amazon India claims is being offered at 25 percent discount. It is being sold at Rs 3,160 on Amazon India, but head over to Snapdeal and you will be able to buy it for 2,999.

This is just one example, and the lack of deals has truly frustrated buyers. Not surprisingly, many took to Twitter to vent it out, and here are some tweets embedded below.

I guess Amazon India , worst website ever visited and today experienced too . At least flipkart showed the deals…http://t.co/aC0wdxj6di

Amazon India has been running these deals since the Big Billion Day, nothing new today, except the traffic they are getting.
