AirPods 3: Release date, price, and everything we know so far

Here’s what we know so far about Apple’s next AirPods.

Apple had announced the AirPods 3rd Generation headphones. They will join Apple’s second generation AirPods and AirPods Pro, which are some of the best true wireless earbuds available right now.

AirPods will have improved audio for FaceTime calls, Spacial Audio, low distortion driver, powerful bass, crisp high frequencies, sweat/water resistance, contoured design, adaptive EQ like AirPods Pro for the best audio experience adjusting frequencies in sound.

AirPod Pro-style design

The AirPods will have an AirPods Pro-style case and earbud style. However, the case is smaller than the AirPods Pro case. And there will not be silicone tips on the new AirPods.

Active noise cancellation

So, if the AirPods 3 are getting an AirPods Pro-style redesign, are they also get AirPods Pro-style ANC? No, ANC will remain AirPods Pro-only for now.

It’s easy to see why. ANC is still often used as a premium feature in many headphones, so the company is keeping that feature for the higher-end models.

The AirPods 3 will cost $179.
