Fossil Gen 5 smartwatch has £70/$96 off in Prime Day deal

Fossil has been pumping out consistently solid Wear OS smartwatches for some time now, and the joys of Amazon’s Prime Day deals mean you can now get in on the action at a wildly discounted rate.

On Amazon US, the 44mm Fossil Gen 5 Carlyle has been given a sharp price cut – where you can save as much as $96 on the device, with the black silicon/black dial model reduced to $199 from $295.

There are also a number of deals on the Fossil Gen 5E smartwatches, with a number of models currently costing $134 instead of $249.

On Amazon UK meanwhile, you can pick up the Fossil Gen 5 Julianna with a £74 saving, now £125 instead of £199.

So, what exactly do you get with the latest generation of Fossil watches? Well, the spec is sheet is packed, but the highlights here are built-in GPS for the Gen 5 models, heart rate monitoring and notifications, as well as support for Google’s suite of Wear OS apps, such as Google Fit and Google Pay. The Gen 5E models have connected GPS instead.

There’s a seamless integration with Android devices, the perfect companion for your phone if you’re looking for a smartwatch. You’ll get the basics like notifications and quick replies to messages, as well as Google Assistant support, music controls and app integration.
