I never recommend a Roku for a home theater (outside of this one condition)

I’m not one to lust after perfection in home theater systems, as I’ve said elsewhere. Modern gear is impressive enough without spending top dollar on it, particularly for those of us who grew up with CRT TVs and VHS players. In 1996, I would’ve killed for a 50-inch TV with 4K, a Blu-ray player, and a 2.0-channel soundbar, never mind an 85-inch behemoth with a 7.1-channel Dolby Atmos system.
