The iPad Air could finally get one of its biggest upgrades ever next year

I’ve been using the new M4 iPad Air for the past few weeks, and it’s been a great experience. As you’d expect, it’s incredibly fast and versatile thanks to the M4 chip, and more than a few times lately, because of that, I’ve found myself just tossing the iPad Air in my backpack and leaving my MacBook Pro at home. But the main complaint I have about it, which I touched on in my review, is that it only has a 60Hz LCD screen. I would’ve loved to see Apple upgrade it to an OLED with a faster refresh rate. While that didn’t happen this year, it seems Apple may finally have it on the cards for 2027.
