Amazon is finally updating its Fire TV app to be more than just a backup remote

Amazon has already made a couple of big CES 2026 announcements, including its new art-focused Ember Artline Fire TV series coming this spring and an upcoming Fire TV update that completely redesigns the user interface, arriving this February. But Amazon has another reveal up its sleeve — and this one’s all about the Fire TV mobile app for Android and iOS.
