First images of the new-gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire have surfaced online ahead of its launch in the coming weeks. The latest images show the car completely undisguised, which was likely spotted while filming of the TV commercial, providing a clear look at the design and styling.

Starting from the front, the new Dzire gets all-new rectangular LED headlights with integrated DRLs. The units flow into an oversized grille stretching from the base of the bonnet to the base of the bumper. The new bonnet appears to be a lot flatter as well. Moving to the side, the new Dzire, like the third-gen model gets a more flowing roofline than the Swift hatchback. A closer look also reveals that the new Dzire gets a different beltline than its hatchback sibling with the door handles now sitting on the beltline rather than below it. The top end variants also look to pack in a sunroof, a feature so far missing from the Dzire.

Fourth-gen Dzire design is notably different to the fourth-gen Swift.

The rear pillar slopes down into a short rear deck. The rear features new design tail lamps with a three-pointed stop lamp element.

The cabin design remains under wraps though we expect it to share much with the Swift replete with the large free-standing touchscreen and shared control surfaces.

New Dzire will also get the new Z-Series petrol engine that debuted in the Swift (pictured).

On the engine front, the new Dzire will get the new Z-Series 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, petrol engine good for 80.5 bhp and 112 Nm. Gearbox options are expected to include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT. As with the Swift expect the Dzire to also get a CNG variant down the line.

The new Dzire is likely to be launched in the coming months and will go up against the Hyundai Aura, Honda Amaze and Tata Tigor in the subcompact sedan segment.
