India to make 25-percent of iPhones all over the globe, hints Apple and govt sources
In March, an announcement came from Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Piyush Goyal, stating that Apple is planning to increase the production of iPhones in India from 7 percent to 25 percent. After the COVID-19, China’s condition was not so stable and it became a big problem for Apple, as it is the major manufacturing country for the tech-giant. After that, Apple plans to shift its manufacturing of products to other countries, and it is speculated that India could be one of them.
According to a report by Business Today, the Cupertino based company is in talks with the Indian Government for iPhone production. The report added a major meeting between Apple executives and the Finance Ministry of India on the future of iPhone manufacturing.
In the meeting, the officials were also tipped to discuss the country’s policies, which can benefit Apple, if it decides to increase manufacturing of iPhones in India.

In a recent visit to India, Tim Cook also met the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to talk about the same. And we should take a note, back in 2017 as well, the Apple CEO met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and tried to get the Tax Concession for iPhones in India.
However, a while back, the Indian government announced that companies need to have a special licence to bring their laptops into the country.
Currently, the iPhone maker makes five to seven percent of its global iPhone production in India. Previously, experts and analysts claimed that Apple is planning to increase its production in India from 7% to 25%.

In addition to that, Apple’s upcoming and most anticipated product of the year, iPhone 15, is just around the corner. It is expected to launch on September 12, according to the iPhone’s launch schedule. Here are some major upgrades in iPhone 15 series that have been in rumours:
