Redmi A2 and A2+ sale begins today: Know all about them, even alternatives
Xiaomi has unveiled two of their new smartphones, the Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ on May 19, 2023. Now it’s finally the day of launch for these phones, when they go on sale for people to purchase across India.
So, with the launch of the phone, let’s have a look at its specifications, price, colour variants and availability of the phone.

Price of Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+
The Redmi phones are priced according to the RAM and storage variants. The Redmi A2 has three variants. The 2GB RAM + 32GB variant storage is for ₹6,299. Next, the 2GB RAM + 64GB storage variant is for ₹6,799. Lastly, the 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage variant is for ₹7,999.
For the Redmi A2 there is only one variant. It comes with 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and it is priced at ₹8,499.

The phones will be available in Classic Black, Aqua Blue and Sea Green colours.

Both the Redmi phones will be available at the Mi online store, Amazon and offline stores.
Specifications of Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+
Let’s start with Redmi A2. This phone comes with a 6.52-inch IPS LCD panel with a teardrop notch. It offers an HD+ resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels. Coming to the camera it has a 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. The phone is packed with a 5,000mAh battery and comes with 10W charging support.

For Redmi A2+, the phone also has the same specifications except one extra feature which is the rear-facing fingerprint sensor.

The Redmi A2 comes with Octa-core with the specifications of 4×2.2 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4×1.7 GHz Cortex-A53 and for the Micromax phone it has Octa-core with the specifications of 2×1.8 GHz Cortex-A75 & 6×1.8 GHz Cortex-A55.
There isn’t any difference in the camera though, this phone too comes with 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. Same goes for the battery as well. Presently, the phone is priced at ₹5,999
