Xiaomi TV Stick 4K launched in India: Price, top features
Xiaomi has launched a new streaming stick in India called the Xiaomi TV Stick 4K. As the name suggests, the new device lets you stream content on your television in 4K quality. Designed to work with any TV model with a compatible HDMI port, the new Xiaomi TV Stick 4K comes with Android TV 11 and pre-installed apps for streaming shows, movies, and videos.
The launch of the Xiaomi TV Stick 4K commemorates the completion of the company’s five-year journey of smart televisions in India. Xiaomi said it has contributed to the adoption of the “Smart TV viewing experience over the past five years by offering top-of-the-line specifications and features.”
“Witnessing a 7x growth since 2018, we have stayed true to our promise of “Innovation for Everyone”, as we consistently aim to accentuate users’ entertainment experience,” said Sudeep Sahu, deputy head of product at Xiaomi India.
Xiaomi TV Stick 4K price
The new streaming stick from Xiaomi comes at a price of Rs 4,999 and will be available to buy from the company website starting February 20. There is no information on whether or not you could buy the Xiaomi TV Stick 4K from Flipkart or offline stores yet.
Xiaomi TV Stick 4K features
The new Xiaomi TV Stick 4K comes with a quad-core Cortex A35 processor with an ARM Mali-G31 MP2 GPU that runs the show. There is 2GB of RAM and 8GB of storage, which will help you install apps on it. Although a significant chunk of this storage may already be occupied by pre-installed apps. The streaming stick supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, but both technologies will need to be available on your output devices, such as your TV and soundbar, for compatibility.
You get PatchWall UI on the Xiaomi TV Stick 4K along with Chromecast support. There is a PatchWall Music tab in the interface, letting you discover YouTube Music playlists directly. The interface supports over 10 Indian languages and features content from over 30 international and Indian partners. There is a remote control with hotkeys for Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney+ Hotstar, as well as a button for Google Assistant.
