POCO X5 5G specifications leaked, but Indian buyers shouldn’t care
Poco announced the launch dates for its upcoming Poco X5 series for both Indian and international markets. The poster that Poco shared highlights that the launch in India will be held ahead of the European launch on February 6. Poco’s brand ambassador Hardik Pandya is holding the upcoming Poco X5 Pro in the poster, so it is certain that the pro model is coming to India. But nowhere is the Poco X5 seen, even though it is supposed to tag along. A new leak suggests that the Poco X5 is not coming to India, so you should not care much about the leaked specifications.
Tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore has leaked the “marketing material” featuring key specifications of the upcoming Poco X5 5G. The images that Ambhore tweeted include specifications in a European language, so for easier understanding, Google Translate was used.
The Poco X5 5G, according to the posters, would be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor. It may come with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 2400×1800 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. On the back, the phone may come with a 48-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. For selfies, there may be a 13-megapixel selfie camera. The phone may be powered by a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. There will be a 240Hz touch sampling rate, 1200 nits of brightness, 4500000:1 contrast ratio, 100 percent DCI P3, and low blue light on the display.
All these specifications are similar to those of the Redmi Note 12 5G, corroborating previous rumours that said the Poco X5 will be a rebranded Redmi Note 12 5G. But the Poco X5 5G is not coming to India, so Redmi Note 12 5G will be the only phone with that set of specifications here. Poco may only launch the Poco X5 Pro in India, and it is rumoured to be a rebranded Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition.
