OnePlus 11R may launch as OnePlus Ace 2 in China
OnePlus has confirmed that it will launch a new phone in China on the same day it is introducing the OnePlus 11 to markets outside of China. It is called the OnePlus Ace 2, but if you are wondering when this phone would become available in India, you do not need to worry. That is because the OnePlus Ace 2 is nothing but a rebranded OnePlus 11R, which is confirmed to arrive alongside the OnePlus 11 in India and other global markets on February 7.
In a Weibo post, OnePlus made the announcement about the OnePlus Ace 2, revealing the design and some specifications. The design looks similar to that of the OnePlus 11R, while the specifications also match those of the OnePlus 11R. OnePlus teased the phone would come with a curved edge display with a punch-hole in the centre. The display will measure 6.74 inches, come with a 1.5K resolution, and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It will also support a 100 percent DCI P3 colour gamut and up to 1450 nits of brightness. It also confirmed a 5000mAh battery with 100W fast charging and a Qualcomm chipset.
While OnePlus did not reveal anything else, we have a fair idea about the rest of the specifications, thanks to leaks on the OnePlus 11R. According to reports, the OnePlus 11R will use the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, which was the highest-end processor used in flagship Android phones last year. There may be a 50-megapixel main camera, alongside an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera on the back. For selfies, the phone may feature a 16-megapixel camera inside the punch-hole. There may be stereo speakers on the phone but no 3.5mm headphone jack. You can also expect the OnePlus Ace 2 (or the OnePlus 11R) to come with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
Meanwhile, OnePlus is holding its mega event on February 7 in India where it will launch the OnePlus 11, OnePlus 11R, OnePlus Buds Pro 2, OnePlus Pad, and OnePlus Q2 Pro QLED TV.
