Google Meet hacks: How to turn on live translated captions in your meetings
Google Meet is an incredibly useful video conferencing platform that makes catching up with far away family members and colleagues easy. It offers a bouquet of features and functionalities that make it easier for users to understand the conversation going on in a meeting even if it isn’t happening in the language that a particular user uses predominantly. Case and point, the live translated captions feature. It lets users understand the conversation in a meeting by showing captions in the language of choice in real time.
But there is a caveat. This feature is available in select languages at the moment. Users can use translated captions to translate English to or from these languages: French, German, Portuguese and Spanish. On the other hand, users can use translated captions to translate English into these languages: Japanese (Available on Desktop and Android); Mandarin, simplified (Available on Desktop and Android); and Swedish (Available on Desktop and Android).
