Airtel expands availability of its 5G services in Kerala: Check availability here

Airtel has expanded the reach of its 5G Plus network in Kerala. Earlier, the telecom operator had introduced its 5G services in Kochi. Today, the company announced that it is bringing these services to three more cities in the state. These cities are — Kozhikode, Trivandrum and Thrissur.

As far availability in these cities is concerned, in Trivandrum, Airtel’s 5G services are available at Vazhuthakkad, Thampanoor, East fort, Palayam, Pattom, Kazhakoottam, Vattiyoorkavu, Pappanamcode, Kovalam, Vizhinjam, and Valiyavila areas. Similarly, in Kozhikode, the company’s 5G services are available at Nadakkave, Palayam, Kallayi, West Hill, Kuttichira, Eranhipaalam, Meenchanda, Thondayad, Malaparamaba, Elathur and Kunnamangalam areas. On the other hand, in Thrissur, the service is available at Ramavarmapuram, Thrissur Round, East Fort, Koorkenchery, Olarikara, Ollur, Mannuthy and Nadathara areas of the city.

“We are in the process of lighting up the entire city which will allow customers to enjoy superfast access to High-definition video streaming, gaming, multiple chatting, instant uploading of photos and more,” Amit Gupta COO, Bharti Airtel, Kerala said on the occasion.

It is worth noting that at the moment, Airtel’s 5G services are available at no additional cost to its 4G subscribers. The company has said that it will introduce 5G plans when the service is available more widely. Furthermore, the company has said that its 4G subscribers don’t need to upgrade their SIM cards in order to access its 5G network in the cities where the service is available as Airtel’s 4G SIM cards are 5G enabled.
