Realme GT Neo 5 with 240W fast charging to launch next month
Realme has announced it will launch the GT Neo 5 smartphone on February 9. The upcoming phone in the Realme GT series has been confirmed to come with 240W Ultra DART — one of the fastest battery charging standards for smartphones. The company has not revealed anything else about the GT Neo 5 yet, but there are rumours floating that the phone would come in two different versions with different processors.
In a post on Weibo, Realme has announced that it is holding an event on February 9 to launch the GT Neo 5 in China. There is no information on whether the GT Neo 5 will come to other markets, though. Realme’s poster says the event would start at 2 pm local time, which is 11.30 am the same day.
Realme has not shared the specifications, but we have rumours aplenty to figure out what you can expect from the Realme GT Neo 5. Rumours suggest there could be two variants of the GT Neo 5. One could be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and the other one could use a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 processor. Both variants will also different charging speeds, too. The one with the Qualcomm processor will come with the 240W fast charging technology, but the MediaTek-powered variant will settle for slightly slower 150W fast charging technology.
Rumours also suggested that the rest of the specifications would be the same. That means you can expect the GT Neo 5 to come with a 50-megapixel main camera with an IMX890 sensor that supports optical image stabilisation (OIS) and a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2772×1240 pixels and a refresh rate of 144Hz.
Meanwhile, Realme has announced it will launch the Coca-Cola Phone in India next month. The phone will likely be called the Realme 10 Pro Cola Edition and will come in a bright red colour for its design. The specifications of the upcoming version are expected to be the same as the regular Realme 10 Pro.
