LG 240Hz OLED gaming monitors announced: Here are the features, price and availability

LG Electronics has launched a new lineup of UltraGear gaming monitors. These monitors are the first in the world to come with a 240Hz OLED panel. This is not the only first for these monitors. They are also the first ones to have a 45-inch display which comes paired with an 800R curvature. Along with that, the response time is less than 0.03 ms GTG, which should help in low-latency gaming and a 240Hz refresh rate.

While they had been launched last month itself, they are in the news right now because pre-orders for these were started on Monday, 12th December 2022. There were two monitors that were launched as a part of this lineup. One is the 27-inch UltraGear OLED gaming monitor which has launched at a pre-order rate of $999.99 (~₹82,359). The other one that was launched is the 45-inch UltraGear OLED Curved Gaming Monitor which can be pre-ordered at $1,699.99 (~₹1,40,096). It has been revealed by LG itself that the shipping of the 45-inch model will start on December 28.

The 45 – inch screen comes with a low-reflective and an anti-glare coating along with small bezels on each side. For those of you who like to multitask, it has picture-in-picture as well as picture-by-picture compatibility. And to reduce visual tearing which a lot of people may be looking for, the 45-inch is also compatible with NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium.

When it comes to the 27-inch monitor, it comes equipped with the AGLR technology which stands for anti-glare and low reflection which makes it easier to see on the screen. It also comes with VRR which stands for Variable Refresh Rate.

LG has also revealed that the monitor is available for pre-order only in the US. It will launch in North America and Asia in January, in February it shall come to Europe and come to Latin America and Middle East in the following months.
