Amazon hardware launch event: All you need to know about the big announcement
Amazon held its hardware launch event in the fall, revealing a series of new technologies. The new techs include a new Kindle Scribe, an updated Fire TV Cube, and a second-generation Echo Auto.
Here’s a list of some of the biggest and most exciting announcements made at Amazon’s fall hardware launch event.
The Kindle Scribe, a new kindle you can write on- Yes you read that right, Amazon in its recent event announced a new Kindle which isn’t just for reading, but one can also write on it. It features a 10.2-inch screen with 300ppi, along with a Basic Pen or Premium Pen option for the stylus.
The Premium Pen is priced at $30 and has a customisable shortcut button and a sensor to erase. The new device cost $339.
Amazon 13 announcements at its fall launch event
The Halo Rise sleep tracker-Amazon unveiled a Halo Rise sleep tracker, which sensors your movement and breathing while you sleep. The device is supposed to track this to tell you how well you slept. It cost $139.99.
Echo speakers that can also be used as Wi-Fi extenders- Apart from its two Echo Dot speakers, Amazon also revealed that the devices can be used as Wi-Fi extenders for your Eero Mesh Wi-Fi network.
Amazon introduced an Alexa-based BMW voice assistant. As we all already know, some BMW cars already support Alexa. Now Amazon has launched this new voice assistant that builds its own system through Amazon’s Alexa Custom Assistant program.
High-end 4K Fire TVs- Amazon launched a new Fire TV Omni QLED TV which comes with ambient light sensors that dim the display when one’s around. The 65-inch display TV cost $799, and for 75-inch it cost $1,099.99.
