Snapchat appears to be suffering from an outage with people reporting that they are unable to sign into the popular social network.

Downdetector, a website that monitors the health of various services and websites, reports that people began to report issues not too long ago, with people noting that Snapchat continues to log them out no matter how many times they try to log back in.

While largely stable, Snapchat has had its fair share of outages over the years and it normally manages to get things back up and running pretty quickly. Hopefully we can expect a similar situation this time around, too.

At the time of writing the Snapchat Support Twitter account hasn’t acknowledged that there are issues, although that will surely change. Users, however, have been much more quick to point out that things are misbehaving.

Snapchat has long been one of the best iPhone apps for sharing disappearing images and short videos, despite ongoing competition from the likes of Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube. It does, however, seem to experience more technical difficulties than the others — something to perhaps bear in mind when deciding where to put your content.

While Snapchat does appear to be the worst affected, other services like ProtonMail and Codeacademy have also displayed smaller issues via the Downdetector service.
