A new leak claims that Apple’s rumored new MacBook Pro will debut with a design similar to the recent MacBook Pro upgrade without the controversial notch.

Based on the new information seen by MacRumors, the upcoming 13-inch MacBook Pro retains the same design as the current version, including the Touch Bar, but unlike the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, it will not have a notch or a ProMotion display, contrary to some rumors.
The report claims Apple will follow the MacBook Pro (2021) with the new design, eschewing Apple’s Touch Bar, but further claims that it won’t have a notch or a ProMotion display. MacRumors says that this information comes from the same source that leaked that the previous MacBook Pro would adopt the notch when it was announced last year. However, that information was publicly available, whereas today’s new leak is not. The report does not provide any further information about where the news comes from.
Apple is expected to unveil at least one new laptop at its rumored March event at the beginning of next month and recently filed three new Macs in the Eurasian Economic Commission database.
As the report notes, if this information is correct the only change in the upcoming MacBook Pro will be the new M2 processor, the second generation of Apple silicon that follows the M1, M1 Pro, and M1 Max. Multiple reports from various respected sources now indicate a new MacBook is close at hand.
Apple is also expected to debut a new iPad Air and a new iPhone SE next month.
