Players are tasked with creating the first-ever Pokédex in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, but just who can you catch?

The open-world Pokémon RPG that so many of us have wanted for so long is finally being made in the form of Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Players will explore a feudal Sinnoh region and are given the objective of completing the first-ever Pokédex. So, which ones exactly can you catch? Let’s dive on in.

How many Pokémon are in Pokémon Legends: Arceus?

There are a total of 242 Pokémon to catch in Pokémon Legends: Arceus’ Hisuian Pokédex. This includes Mythical and Legendary Pokémon. This means that not all of Game Freak’s 893 official Pokémon from various Pokémon games are in the latest adventure.

A new adventure

These are all of the Pokémon that made the cut into Legends: Arceus. Considering there are now roughly 900 Pokémon in existance it’s only a small number, but the creatures included are a good mix that relate back to to Pokémon in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
