Netflix said to have N-Plus service planned with behind-the-scenes content
What you need to know
- Netflix is thought to be pondering an N-Plus service.
- N-Plus would have behind-the-scenes content and more.
Another service with Plus in the name.
Netflix is said to be considering a new addition to its existing streaming content and service that would give viewers the chance to go behind the scenes on existing shows. Dubbed N-Plus, the service would add additional content to Netflix’s existing shows for those who want to dig a little deeper.
Reported by TNW, Netflix is emailing some existing customers with a survey all about the service. However, the wording suggests that Netflix doesn’t intend to charge for N-Plus which has me wondering why it would even need a name at all.
Netflix is apparently considering launching a new platform called ‘N-Plus.’ The company began sending out a survey to customers, including TNW’s Abhimanyu Ghoshal, asking them if they’d use the service, which would include a variety of services that allow you to go more in-depth with the streaming service’s content.
Netflix also seems to have plans to make the content available to everyone with N-Plus going beyond video, too.
It doesn’t seem everything on N-Plus will be behind a paywall. Netflix also says “parts of it could be viewed by anyone with a web browser,” so it seems the platform is considering expanding to more editorial written content, instead of just videos.
Netflix has already gained a reputation for increasing its prices in recent years so it’s possible it will simply do the same to accommodate N-Plus. TNW doesn’t seem to think that’s the case, however.
If Netflix does indeed start offering more content via N-Plus, you’re sure to want the best TV to watch it all on. Maybe it’s time to treat yourself!
