Twitter has confirmed that tweets are not loading for some of its users and that it’s working on a fix for the problem.
Overnight Twitter support tweeted:
Tweets may not be loading for some of you. We’re working on fixing a problem and you’ll be back on the timeline soon.

Notably, Twitter made the announcement several hours ago, and there are still multiple reports from users the issue persists, suggesting it has not gone away and may yet be some time.
Using both the app and the web version of Twitter, tweets do appear unusually slow to load, and there’s also been a noticeable drop in engagement for some.
