Intex Aqua Y2 Remote with ‘universal remote feature’ launched for Rs 4,390: Specifications and features
After launching the Aqua Star L, Intex is out with another smartphone called Aqua Y2 Remote. The handset is priced at Rs 4,390, and is available across major retail and e-commerce sites in India from today.
As the name suggests, the unique selling point of the Aqua Y2 Remote is that it can also be used as a universal remote for TVs, ACs, set top boxes, DVD players, speakers and even a fan. The handset has an in-built custom application called the ZaZa Remote for this purpose. The app lets you sync your home devices and use your smartphone to control them remotely.
As far as the specifications are concerned, the Aqua Y2 Remote flaunts a 4-inch WVGA IPS display with 480×800 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572 processor paired with 512MB of RAM. There is also 4GB of built-in storage, which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.
The Aqua Y2 Remote has a 5-megapixel primary camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It packs a 1,500mAh battery and runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat. Connectivity wise, the smartphone offers 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Micro-USB and FM radio.
If you remove the remote feature, the Aqua Y2 Remote competes with Lava Iris 404 Flair and Karbonn A96, at this price point.
