CES 2015 Live: Lenovo Vibe Xtension Selfie Flash is the thing narcissist dreams are made of
Let’s face it we are obsessed with clicking selfies. So much so that the word selfie has been included in Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary, the selfie stick was on Time magazine’s best inventions list of 2014, a London college has a month-long course for clicking selfies, and lawmakers in the US actually discussed whether a monkey owned the copyright to his selfie! In times like this, we should all hail Lenovo’s latest product – the Vibe Xtension Selfie Flash – that claims to ensure you would get well lit selfies at all times.
The selfie flash fits into the 3.5mm audio jack and is compatible with most Android smartphones. It has eight diffused LEDs and remains on all the time, enabling the subject to get the shot ready before clicking. Lenovo claims that one charge of its 80mAh battery should be enough for 100 selfies. You might as well turn it around to get a better flash for the rear camera as well.
There is no word on the pricing yet but we hope Lenovo prices it sensibly.
